Robinson, Verticon 2026

Robinson Helicopter Company took on a pioneering role in Atlanta, unveiling several exciting projects — from the establishment of a completely new division focused on unmanned aviation, through collaboration with Sikorsky on an autonomous cargo helicopter, to new details about the development of the long-awaited ten-seat R88.

Robinson Unmanned offers platforms across Group 1 to Group 4, according to the U.S. military classification — ranging from the smallest to large-scale drones. A key part of the new Robinson Unmanned portfolio is the R66 TurbineTruck — an unmanned and autonomous variant of the successful R66 turbine helicopter. This aircraft is also the largest new addition in the large UAS segment presented at Verticon 2026.

The company also introduced a new factory configuration, the R44 Utility — a version specifically designed for operators using the R44 in demanding environments where a standard interior would not last.

In addition to its own development progress, Robinson announced three new strategic partners for the R88 program at Verticon 2026:

GPMS International – predictive health and usage monitoring
Outerlink – IRIS platform for real-time data connectivity
Skurka Aerospace – carbon-free starter-generator
